PURPOSE: A washing machine capable of generating functional water is provided to prevent partial decoloration and damage of clothing, to perform sterilization, disinfection, deodorization and bleaching without boiling the clothing, and to improve a washing efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine capable of generating functional water includes a water supplier, a wash tub(3), a functional water generator(11), and an agitator(4). The water supplier supplies wash water. The wash tub receives wash water supplied from the water supplier and clothing. The functional water generator generates functional water within wash water supplied to the wash tub. The agitator agitates wash water and clothing inside the wash tub.
