PURPOSE: To realize the high performance of a torsion spring while suppressing the enlargement of axial dimension of a torque converter provided with a lock-up device. CONSTITUTION: This torque converter 1 is provided with a fluid operating part 3 of torus shape comprising an impeller 10, a turbine 11 and a stator 12. The ratio (D2/D1) of the inner diameter D2 to the outer diameter D1 of the fluid operating part 3 is 0.61 or more.
