Charge pump arrangement for generating positive and negative output voltages using a switch arrangement to switch between positive and negative charging

The pump arrangement (LPA) is arranged to generate a positive or a negative output voltage (VOUT). The arrangement has an input terminal (I) to which an input voltage (VIN) is applied. It also has an output terminal (II) at which the output voltage is provided. The arrangement also has a charge pump (LP) with first and second terminals (1,2) and a switching arrangement (S1,S2,VS). To generate a positive output voltage the input terminal is connected to the first terminal via the switch arrangement and the output terminal is connected to the second terminal via the switch arrangement. To generate a negative output voltage the input terminal is connected to the second terminal via the switch arrangement and the output terminal is connected to the first terminal via the switch arrangement.
