PURPOSE: A vacuum cleaner is provided to separate easily a dirt pocket from a cleaner body and to empty a waste, thereby providing a convenience of a usage by placing efficiently a device composing the cleaner body. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum cleaner comprises a body(20) having a suction unit for absorbing air and a suction nozzle(31) for introducing the air by an absorbing force generating from the body. The body(20) comprises a body air inlet(27) for introducing the absorbed air through the suction nozzle(31) into body(20), a dirt pocket(21) for collecting a waste material, an exhaust port(29) for discharging the air separated with the waste to an outside of the body(20), and a pair of driving wheel(28) for moving the body(20). The dirt pocket(21) having a handle(21a) for detaching the dirt pocket from the body is formed at one side of the body(20), a coupling button(20h) for controlling a detachment of the dirt pocket(21) is formed at one side of the body(20). An electric wire(26e) having a plug(26c) at end thereof is constituted to contain and exhaust a code reel and is placed at a bottom of the dirt pocket.
