PURPOSE: An explosion proof structure for flat braun tube is provided to reduce manufacturing cost by using a safety film as an explosion proof element, while improving productivity by attaching the safety film without using an adhesive resin. CONSTITUTION: An explosion proof structure comprises a funnel; a flat panel(21) attached to the front surface of the funnel; and a safety film(40) attached to the front surface of the flat panel. The safety film is attached or detached to or from the flat panel through a band(26) and a band cover(28) arranged at an edge of the panel. The safety film is fixed at two points at the left and right sides of the flat panel or upper and lower ends of the flat panel. Alternatively, the safety film is fixed at four points at the front edge of the flat panel.
