Method for providing a cable outlet (12) in an elevated floor panel (10), having an upper surface (26) and an opposite lower surface (28), with a cable protection comprising the following steps: providing a flexible protection element (14) that has a generally U-shaped cross-section comprising a first flange (22), a second flange (24) and a web (20) connecting the first and second flanges (22, 24), wherein the distance between the first and second flanges (22, 24) is substantially equal to the thickness of the panel (10); and covering the edge of the cable outlet (12) with the flexible protection element (14), wherein the first flange (22) rests on the upper surface (26) of the panel (10) and the second flange (24) rests on the lower surface (28) of the panel (10). <IMAGE> |
