According to the invention, a first catch element (195) which may be moved by the coupling device is provided, corresponding to a second catch element (145), provided on the memory device (104, 105, 107) whereby both catch elements (145, 195) engage with each other to prevent a movement of the seat frame (G) in the seat longitudinal direction (L), when the seat frame (G) is in the memory position thereof, the locking device (104, 107) is locked and the fixing device (120) is not completely released by means of the coupling mechanism, but is already far enough released that a movement of the seat frame (G) in the seat longitudinal direction (L) is possible.
