COMPUTER AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PURPOSE: A computer and its control method are provided to apply to all system makers and operating systems and to output a sound or a message to inform the state of a computer even while a sound driver is not installed. CONSTITUTION: The computer includes a booting sound output unit(100). The booting sound output unit consists of a booting sound memory(110) and a booting sound control unit(120). The sounds, voices and music are stored in the booting sound memory. The booting sound control unit outputs the audio data via a speaker. The booting sound output unit is installed by a separate hardware and controlled by a system BIOS(Basic Input Output System). The BIOS is a program stored in a BIOS ROM(Read-Only Memory). The BIOS is automatically run upon the supply of power to the computer to check up respective parts of the computer by a post process. The booting sound output unit is driven simultaneous with the running of the BIOS regardless of BIOS post booting or Window booting.
