The invention relates to a type of bathtub on which a treatment chamber is mounted, comprising the following: a type of bathtub (2) which is built into a casing (1), said casing being relatively shallow with a virtually flat bottom, essentially rectangular and having a longitudinal basin (5) which is extended by a more shallow central recess on the head side, air outlets (61, 62) and air inlets (63, 64) being provided on the edge of the bathtub and being flush slightly above the top edge of the bathtub; A semi-cylindrical, removable chamber (3) which is adapted on the top edge of the bathtub; a ventilation unit (65) which is connected between the air outlets (61, 62) and the air inlets (63, 64); one or more spray rails with heads which pivot and are laterally adjustable; and means for emitting red or blue light, the diffusion of the red color being used during the stimulating phases and the diffusion of the blue color being used in the relaxing phases.
