The invention concerns asymmetric metal complexes based on a transition metal and comprising as ligand of said metal at least an optically active form of a compound of general formula (I). The invention also concerns the preparation and the use of said complexes in asymmetric organic synthesis and in particular for enantioselective reduction of ketone derivatives by hydride transfer.
