Disclosed is a method for fabricating a lithium rechargeable battery and the electrode taps therefor that can prevent the short of the battery and the leakage therefrom caused due to an aluminum material of a pouch, in case where the electrode taps are in a direct contact with a pouch, upon fusion of the electrode taps and the pouch. The electrode taps are provided with an insulation tape that is wound in manner to be somewhat overlapped on the lower portion of a sealing material in an external direction of the electrode taps.
