WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE TRANSIMPEDANCE AMPLIFIER

PURPOSE: A wide dynamic range transimpedance amplifier is provided to improve linearity and to reduce distortion by maintaining low noise input terminal on the emitter proper high input sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: The circuit(100) generally comprises an amplifier block or circuit(102) and a control block or circuit(104). The circuit(102) is implemented as a transimpedance amplifier(TIA). The circuit(102) has an input that receives an input signal(e.g., PR_INPUT). The control circuit(104) has an output(107) that presents a feedback signal(FB) to the input. The control circuit(104) also has an input(110) that receives a signal(VREF) and an input(112) that receives a signal(OUTPUT) presented by an output(114) of the amplifier(102).
