The premixed gas burner comprises an elongated hollow first body member (32) defining a gas/air distributor having a periphery defining a curvilinear cross sectional configuration. The distributor has an inlet for receiving a combustible mixture of gas and air and outlet device comprising device forming a number of apertures through which the mixture is directed to flow upstream toward the inlet. The outlet device is disposed about a sector of the periphery spaced downstream from the inlet, a second elongated hollow body member defines a burner body (12). The burner body has a periphery defining a curvilinear cross sectional configuration conforming in shape to that of the distributor but larger than the distributor such that the distributor may be received in it. A device is included for securely positioning the distributor within the burner body in spaced apart relationship with the inlet extending out the burner body. The burner body has a deck comprising a multiplicity of burner ports (28) extending through it disposed in an array over a sector of the periphery of the burner body, the sector of the periphery of the distributor containing the outlet device being disposed oppositely to that of the sector of the periphery of the burner containing the burner ports. |
