Needles for testing a circuit board (6) are held in position by a support plate (1). Where the needles (3) contact closely spaced test points (5) stacks of individual laminations (9) are provided bored so that the needles which run in sleeves (18) are accurately positioned. Holes drilled individually in the laminations enable steel rods (13) to line them up accurately.
