PURPOSE: An air cleaner for a vehicle is provided to prevent a breakdown and the deformation of an air cleaner element and a case for containing an air cleaner by an explosion pressure caused by backfire. CONSTITUTION: A cover(120) having a discharging pipe(121) is formed on an upper side of a case(110) for containing an air cleaner on one side of which an introduction pipe(111) are formed. The cover(120) and the case(110) form the space where an air cleaner element(130) is installed. A discharging opening(122) is formed on one side of the cover(120). An air cleaner breakdown preventing unit(140) is installed to discharge the air discharged from the discharging opening(122) to the outside and to prevent the outside air from being inhaled into the space where the air cleaner element(130) is installed.
