PURPOSE: Structure of a hinge bracket for a vehicle seat is provided to prevent the breakage of a hinge bracket when a shock is applied to a seat back in a collision of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A hinge bracket(10) has a hinge pin(13) installed between a left bracket(11) and a right bracket(12). A U-shaped reinforcing piece(14) is installed between the left bracket and the right bracket. Since the U-shaped reinforcing piece forms a closed section by centering on a hinge piece, a stiffness is increased. In a collision of a vehicle, a shock applied to the hinge bracket is resisted stably. Therefore, the breakage of the hinge bracket is prevented.
