PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for applying a finish oil capable of suitably removing bubbles disturbing stable discharge of the finish oil in the finish oil and uniformly applying the finish oil to a running yarn. SOLUTION: This guide (G) or applying the finish oil is used for applying the finish oil to a yarn (Y) in contact with the running yarn (Y) and is characterized in that the guide (G) is composed by including a yarn contact surface (1) to which the finish oil is applied by contact of the running yarn (Y) therewith, a finish oil reservoir groove (2) provided in the form crossing the running yarn (Y) in the yarn contact surface (1), a finish oil feeding surface (3) formed in order to flow down and feed the finish oil to the yarn contact surface (1) and intersecting the yarn contact surface (1) at 135-180 deg. intersecting angle relatively to the yarn contact surface (1) and a discharge hole (4) opened onto the finish oil feeding surface (3) for metering and feeding the finish oil onto the finish oil feeding surface (3).
