PURPOSE: An equipment and method for treating power source fault and data is provided to treat peripheral apparatus when the power source is failed of a data processing system. CONSTITUTION: A peripheral apparatus(206) receives power source form a power supplier. The peripheral apparatus(206) is part of the data processing system including non-volatile memory(210). The task queue(208) for the peripheral apparatus is checked for get the information of power supply. If the power is remained enough for the task, the task is executed, and if the power is remained not enough, data for the task is stored the task queue(208) in the non-volatile memory(210).
