METHOD OF FABRICATING LCD HAVING COLOR FILTER FORMED ON TFT ARRAY

PURPOSE: A method of fabricating an LCD having a color filter formed on a TFT array is provided to simplify a fabrication process by omitting a step of fabricating a black matrix. CONSTITUTION: A TFT array layer is formed on a substrate(120). R,G,B color filter stripes are alternately formed on the TFT array layer(130). A dielectric layer is formed on the color filter stripes(140). A contact hole is formed on the TFT array layer(150). A pixel electrode layer is formed on the dielectric layer and the contact hole(160). At least two color filter stripes are overlapped with each other. The color filter stripes are formed by laser scanning.
