PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water droplets in a channel in a cover lip 24 from permeating into an edge 10a of a garnish 10 for a convertible vehicle having a detachable or storable rear roof portion. SOLUTION: A terminal 12 of the roof side weather strip 11 mounted on the side of the rear roof portion abuts the terminal of a trunk weather strip on the vehicle body side to form a continuous seal. The roof side weather strip 11 has the cover lip 24 the inside of which is provided with the channel 28 for a rain water entering from the upper side. In a molded portion, a rib 31 is integrally molded on the inside face of the cover lip 24 along the longitudinal direction to define the channel 28. Since this portion is gently inclined to a horizontal, water droplets flows slowly but they are prevented from flowing into a room side by the rib 31 and from permeating into the edge of the adjacent garnish. |
