RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE TREAD

PURPOSE: A rubber composition for a tire tread is provided, to improve the smoothness of driving performance without deterioration of the gasoline mileage, the braking efficiency on a wet road and the abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of rubber which consists of 20-40 parts by weight of an emulsion polymerization styrene-butadiene rubber, 30-60 parts by weight of a solution polymerization styrene-butadiene rubber and 10-30 parts by weight of a butadiene rubber; 20-45 parts by weight of silica; 25-45 parts by weight of carbon black; 1.6-3.6 parts by weight of a silane coupling agent; 20-42 parts by weight of an aromatic oil as a processing softening agent; and other additives. Preferably the total content of carbon black and silica is 50-80 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of rubber, and the ratio of silica to carbon black is 0.67-1.40.
