摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of irradiation with high-energy electron rays capable of appropriately controlling a (depth × density directional dose distribution, particularly in the case of irradiation for both sides, in view of drawbacks of conventional techniques. SOLUTION: The method of irradiation with high-energy electron rays achieves sterilization or the like by irradiating with a high-energy electron ray a product or a product container (hereinafter referred to as subject of irradiation) which is conveyed along a conveyor. The subject of irradiation is irradiated with electron rays with different electron energies as the electron rays differ with pulses or groups of pulses, so that the irradiation corresponds to the (depth × density) of the subject, at least in an electron-ray irradiation position, or, so that the rate of over-irradiation of the composite dose of the electron rays for irradiation from both front and back sides (a value obtained by dividing a maximum absorbed dose in the subject by a minimum absorbed dose) is not more than 2, preferably not more than 1.5. Also, both the blending ratio and blending order of the electron-ray pulses with different electron energies is set in a repeating or repeated fashion when the subject is irradiated with the electron rays.
