PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide piezoelectric ceramic composition for a surface acoustic wave element and a surface acoustic wave filter which can improve impedance ratio and electromechanical coupling factor. SOLUTION: The surface acoustic wave filter of SH type has the piezoelectric ceramic composition for the surface acoustic wave element expressed by PbaZrxTiy(NimMnnNb2/3)zO3 (x+y+z=1, 0.93<=a<=1.02, 0.32<=x<=0.50, 0.41<=y<=0.54, 0.03<=z<=0.21 and 0.24<=m+n<=0.67), a piezoelectric substrate and an IDT formed on a surface of the piezoelectric substrate and the piezoelectric substrate is made of the piezoelectric ceramic composition. |
