PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a form from having its four corners curled by properly setting the pressure distribution of a part on the downstream side of a fixation area, to prevent a heat roll from wearing, and to easily adjust the pressure distribution of the part on the downstream side of the fixation area independently of the part on the upstream side. SOLUTION: A high-rigidity pad supported on a pressure belt support frame at a downstream-side position of a fixing pad 21 in a sheet conveyance direction extends along the width of a pressure belt FP and when the pressure belt support frame 7 moves to a press-contact position, the pressure belt FP is pressed against a heat roll Fh from its reverse surface. The high-rigidity pad 22 is so constituted that 0.6<=(Pe/Pc)<=0.8, where Pc is the pressure of the high-rigidity pad 22 to an intermediate part of the heat roll in the fixation area Q5 along the axis of the heat roll and Pe is the pressure to the axial end parts, consequently, paper wrinkling, four-corner curling, and the wear of the fixing roll can be prevented.
