PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a bright picture display in a projection liquid crystal display device equipped with liquid crystal panels provided with micro lenses for respective colors by optimizing micro lens condensing in the respective liquid crystal panels. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal panels for the respective colors (R), (G) and (B), focal distances Pr, Pg and Pb are made mutually equivalent by varying curvatures of the micro lenses.
