PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for door guard bar capable of attaining prescribed impact resistance at a low cost. SOLUTION: A space S is formed between a door outer panel and a door inner panel 3, and the door guard bar 2 is mounted in the space S transversely in the front/rear direction Z of a vehicle body. The door guard bar 2 is formed into a pipe shape of which cross section is circular and an end face 22 of a front end part 21 is formed so as to be orthogonal. A bulging part 46 is formed at a bracket front wall part 41 of a front bracket 4. The bulging part 46 is perpendicularly formed with a mounting surface 48 coming into contact with the end face 22 of the front end part 21 of the door guard bar 2. The end face 22 is abutted on a mounting surface 48, and the peripheral edge of the end face 22 and the mounting surface 48 are welded W at abutting sections 6, 6, thus fixing the end face 22 onto the mounting surface 48.
