PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the temperature of to-be-cooled objects automatically stably by measuring the temperature of the objects indirectly without working for insertion of temperature sensor. SOLUTION: A cooling vessel 2 is provided for containing objects 1 to be cooled, an outside-air conducting line 5 is connected to the vessel 2, and a temperature detector 12 is provided in the water tank 11. Alternatively, the water tank 11 is provided in communication with the vessel 2 for containing objects 1, and the temperature detector 12 is provided in the tank 11. Further a heat exchanger 6 is provided in a vacuum suction line 4 in connection with the vessel 2. A cooling-water flowing line 6 is provided in the heat exchanger 6, and the outlet of the heat exchanger 6 in the line 16 is connected to the tank 11 with a makeup-water supply line 17.
