PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cross-linked PTFE filaments each having an improved tensile strength and an improved elastic modulus. SOLUTION: This method for producing the cross-linked PTFE filaments is characterized by inserting a filament bundle 2A comprising cross-linked PTFE filaments into a copper pipe 1, reducing the diameter of the copper pipe 1 to draw the filament bundle 2A, chemically or electrochemically removing the copper pipe 1 to take out the drawn filament bundle 2A, and then loosing the drawn filament bundle 2A.
