PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitutionally simple sliding door, which can be stopped in a desired position and whose opening width can be easily changed. SOLUTION: In the sliding door, plural grooves are provided in a sill 21 or a head jamb 22, plural doors 11, 12 and 13, respectively, are installed so as to be movable within the grooves 21a, 21b and 21c, and the adjacent doors pass each other for movement. A stopper 30 for blocking the movement of the door is inserted into the groove 21c. The stopper 30 is composed of a plate- like material having such a quality as to enable easy cutting, and the adjustment of the length of the stopper 30 by the cutting enables a change in the opening width.
