PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of an existing digital copier that a copying paper sheet is damaged by the collision of a follower sheet with a previous sheet stopped in a both-side path during the both-side copying without stacks, and that the durability of a drive source may be reduced as a movable part is operated and continuously held at a non-interference position to avoid the interference with a copying paper sheet stopped at a prescribed position in the both-side path. SOLUTION: The digital image forming device comprises an image forming part C for forming an image on a copying paper sheet, a both-side path F having a function of reversing the front and rear sides of a copying paper sheet with an image formed on the front side by the image forming part and feeding paper again to the image forming part and a function of stopping and letting at least one copying paper sheet stay, and a control part for controlling them. The control part controls the image forming part to form an image on the front side of at least N sheets of copying paper during the period of time from the start of forming the image on the front side of one copying paper sheet till the finish of forming the image on the rear side of the copying paper sheet, and to allow at least N plus one sheets of copying paper with recorded front sides always to stay in the image forming device. |
