PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which prevent the warming-up time of a rotary member for heat-ray fixation, using an abutting member, from becoming long owing to the abutting member. SOLUTION: The roll-shaped rotary member for heat-ray fixation is formed by providing a cylindrical light-transmissive base which transmits heat rays, a cylindrical light-transmissive elastic layer which transmits heat rays outside the light-transmissive base, and a heat-ray absorbing layer which absorbs heat rays outside the light-transmissive elastic layer; and the abutting member is provided movably which abuts against the rotary member for heat-ray fixation and the abutting member is made to abut after printing operation is started after the warming-up time. |
