PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of suitably cooling the upside of a thermal fixing device or optical mechanism located inside the device. SOLUTION: On the left side of a duct 71, a fixer 35 is located. On the opened upside of the duct 71, a first auxiliary plate 57, in which a scanner unit 41 provided with a driving motor 40 is packaged, is located. On the right side of the duct 71, the top end portion of a process cartridge 21 is located. Under the duct 71, a second auxiliary plate 59 is located and under this second auxiliary plate 59, a power source part 73 is located. Therefore, air for cooling from a suction fan 61 flows while being branched in four directions between the upside of the fixer 35 and the first auxiliary plate 57 (direction A), on the side of the lower surface of the first auxiliary plate 57 (direction B), on the side of the top end of the process cartridge 21 (direction C) and on the side of the power source part 73 (direction D). |
