PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatizing compound having a highly fancy and fruity aroma and also a remarkable aroma-retaining effect. SOLUTION: This methyl N-formyl-N-methylanthranylate is expressed by the general formula (I) (Me is methyl). The aromatizing composition and the aroma-retaining agent containing the above compound are also provided.
