<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise of a floating type disc brake having pads opposing with putting a disc between them and pressing one of pads with a brake piston and another pad with outer pawl of a caliper. SOLUTION: A pad pressing center is always kept in a disc outer circumference side than a torque receiving surface outer edge in a disc diameter direction by doing one of the following measures. (a) Shortening caliper outer pawl 5, (b) Cutting off a disc inner side tip of a brake piston 6, (c) Interposing a shim having an inner circumference side part cut off between the pad 1 and the brake piston 6 and/or between the pad 1 and the pawl 5, (d) Projecting a pad back surface outer circumference side backward.</p> |
