<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development method and an image forming method for preventing development ghost and fogging sufficiently and for keeping good image quality for a long period of time even if an image forming process is accelerated. SOLUTION: In a development method in which a voltage is applied to a negative charge magnetic one component developer on a developer carrier 7 to form a toner image on an electrostatic latent image carrier 1, the peripheral velocity of an electrostatic latent image carrier 1 is 200 mm/sec or more, and the number of rotations Rs of a developer carrier 7, a direct current voltage Vd, the frequency Fa of an AC voltage, and electrostatic charge amounts Qw and Qb of the magnetic one component developer on the developer carrier 7 after a white image and a black image are developed, satisfy the conditions represented by the following equations 1 to 6: 150<=Rs<=300 (1), -500<=V<=-100 (2), 0.5<=Fa<=5.0 (3), -20.0<=Qw<=-3.0 (4), 0.75<=(Qb/Qw)<=1.2 (5), and 1.40<=[(Rs.Fa.Qb)/ Qw.(-Vd)}]<=2.25 (6).</p> |
