PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that more wasteful electric power is consumed when blur correcting optical systems which hold a rolling member with a device main body are always driven at its origin positions before image blur correction control. SOLUTION: This blur correcting device which has blur correcting optical systems 1 and 2 driven at right angles to the optical axis to correct an image blur and is equipped with the rolling member 10, held by a holding member 101 capable of moving at right angles to the optical axis so that the member call roll, between the blur correction optical systems and the device main body 3 is provided with a detecting means 102 which detects whether or not the holding member is at a specific position in the movement range of the holding member and a control mean which drives the blur correcting optical systems at their origin positions so as to move the holding member to the specific position when the detecting means detects the holding member not being at the specific position.
