PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector in which a dot can be modulated with a wide modulation width and brilliant color print is realized by multilevel halftoning. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector comprises a liquid pressurizing chamber 120 filled with a liquid, a liquid ejection opening 140 made at a part of the liquid pressurizing chamber, a liquid pressurizing member 110 disposed contiguously to the liquid pressurizing chamber 120, and a liquid channel 130 communicating with the liquid pressurizing chamber 120 wherein liquid is ejected from the liquid ejection opening 140 by driving the liquid pressurizing member 110 thereby pressurizing the liquid supplied from the liquid channel 130 to the liquid pressurizing chamber 120. Means 150 for regulating the fluid resistance of the liquid is provided in the liquid channel 130.
