PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven fabric which is used for non-coated air bags, can solve problems on the mechanical characteristics of the woven fabric, problems on the flexibility of the woven fabric after dried, problems on the generation of wrinkles on the surface of the woven fabric, and the like, can retain mechanical characteristics necessary for the woven fabric for the air bags, enables the production of lightweight, compact and low gas permeable air bags, has excellent profitability, and has a soft hand. SOLUTION: This woven fabric for the non-coated air bags has characteristics satisfying the following expressions: (1) ST5%(warp)+ST5%(weft)<=1.2 g/d; (2) AP(O), AP(T)<=0.5 cc/cm2/sec.; (3) W<=205 g/cm2; (4) S(warp)+S(weft)<=220 mm; and (5) T<=0.30 mm. Therein, ST5% is a value (g/d) obtained by dividing the strength of the woven fabric on an elongation of 5% by the total fineness of raw yarns in the tensile direction; AP(O) and AP(T) are an initial gas permeability and a gas permeability after an environmental aging test (Frazier method, 125 Pa differential pressure)(cc/cm2/sec.), respectively; W is the weight (g/cm2) of the woven fabric; S is a bending resistance (cantilever method)(mm); T is the thickness (mm) of the woven fabric.
