PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new vibration-damping material which exhibits a very high tanδvalue and storage modulus value, serving to improve the vibration- damping characteristics, and can realize an excellent effect by using a low- molecular compound as a matrix. SOLUTION: This vibration-damping material contains at least 65 vol.% of a low-molecular compound having a group undergoing hydrogen bonding or a cyclic structure capable of bonding by an electron bonding force betweenπelectrons, forming a continua bonded by the bonding through a bonding force weaker than covalent bonding, with the continua forming an aggregated state in which they are entangled together three-dimensionally, and having a molecular weight of 10,000 or lower and a glass transition point. The material consists of at least the low-molecular compound having a glass transition point and a polymer capable of providing a vibration-damping material with a glass transition point in a low-temperature region in which it is used and a tanδof 0.3 or greater.
