PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple branch shield machine capable of reducing the weight by decreasing the number of parts and of reducing the production cost by simplifying the construction. SOLUTION: Since the outer shell 59 of the shield main body is constituted with one-half at the outer side of an outer drum 10 of a pair of shield drive machine 2 at the farthest outer side and a pair of upper and lower outer shell plates 4 and 5, it becomes unnecessary to externally fit the outer half side of the outer drum 10 of a pair of the shield drive machine 2 at the farthest outer side in a state before the branch, in response to this, the production cost can be reduced by decreasing the number of parts for the outer shell plate unit 6 thereby reducing the weight and simplifying the construction.
