PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detach a magnet catch 1 by allowing detachment of a housing 3 from the surface side of a plate 2. SOLUTION: This magnet catch 1 is provided with the housing 3 having a collar part 3C at the front end; a lateral pair of locking pieces 6, 6 provided at the housing 3 so as to freely project and recede in the cross direction of the housing 3 in the state of being energized outward in the cross direction of the housing 3 on the rear side of the collar part 3C; and a magnet member 4 enclosed in the housing 3 so as to be exposed from the front face of the housing 3. The locking parts 6 are engaged with the back face of the plate 2, which is a mounting object, when the collar part 3C of the housing 3 inserted in a mounting hole 10 formed in the plate 2 abuts on the surface of the plate 2. The housing 3 is thereby fixed to the plate 2 in the state of the greater part behind the collar part 3C being hidden on the back face side of the plate 2. A release part 7 for releasing the engagement of the locking pieces 6 with the back face of the plate 2 is provided at the housing 3 so as to be exposed to the surface side of the plate 2.
