PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit surely recognizing a reloaded film and to permit setting the leading frame of the unexposed frames in a prescribed position only by leaving an easy operation of inputting film discrimination information to a user. SOLUTION: The camera equipped with an imprinting function is provided with a storing means for storing the film discrimination information used for discriminating the film and photographing information corresponding to the exposed frames, an imprinting means for optically imprinting the film discrimination information on the leader part of the film, a deciding means (#703) for deciding the film discrimination information of the reloaded film based on the storage value stored by the storing means when the halfway-rewound film is reloaded, and control means (#704 to #706) for reading the number of the exposed frames of the reloaded film from the photographing information corresponding to the decided film discrimination information and then freely winding up the film by the number of the exposed frames in a state where imprinting on the leader part of the film is inhibited.
