PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the black light lighting of a liquid-crystal display screen. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display screen is equipped with a liquid crystal layer and 1st and 2nd transparent substrates between which the liquid crystal layer is sandwiched, further equipped with a means which determines the transmission state of the liquid crystal layer and a fluorescent layer including at least one phosphor in the form of a fluorescent dot on the 2nd substrate, and furthermore equipped with a 3rd substrate which is arranged opposite the 2nd substrate and connected to the 2nd substrate; and an airtight gas discharging container filled with filler gas is formed and this screen is equipped with a means which ignited and maintains the discharging of a dielectric resistance in the gas discharging container.
