PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the excessive air conditioning power and reduce the repetition frequency of the actuation and stop of a used unit and the repetition frequency of the drive and stop of a compressor. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises a refrigerant circuit (15) formed by connecting an outdoor unit (11) with two indoor units (12, 13). It controls the air conditioning power of the outdoor unit (11) so that the temperature of a refrigerant circulating in the refrigerant circuit (15) reaches a set point. The set point is changed according to the operating condition such that the control characteristics of the set point are determined according to the air conditioner load characteristics of a building and the set point is changed according to the control characteristics, based on the indoor and outdoor temperature difference between a set indoor temperature and the outside air temperature. In a cooling operation, e.g. the control characteristics of a set point of an evaporation temperature are determined according to the cooling load characteristics of the building and then the set point of the evaporation temperature is changed according to the control characteristics, based on the indoor and outdoor temperature difference. Thus the air conditioning power of the outdoor unit (11) is controlled so that the evaporation temperature detected by a low-pressure pressure sensor (74) reaches the set point. |
