PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration unit, capable of reliably reducing a consumption power by a demand for power peak cut. SOLUTION: A controller (90) of an air-conditioner (10), being a refrigerating device, is provided with a consumption power detecting part (91). The consumption power detecting part (81) stores a characteristic function representing the consumption power of an electric motor for a compressor, by a condensing temperature and an evaporation temperature of a refrigerant in a refrigerating cycle. The consumption power detecting part (91) substitutes the condensing temperature and the evaporation temperature of a refrigerant, during operation for a characteristic function to calculate a consumption power of the electric motor. The controller (90) controls the capacity of a compressor unit (40) to within a range, where the detecting current value of the consumption power detecting part (91) does not exceed a prescribed value. |
