PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition for forming an ink accepting layer, on which excellent water-resistant clear printing with a water-based ink can be realized, on a base material having a poor hydrophilicity and a material to be recorded having the ink accepting layer thereon. SOLUTION: This coating composition for forming a water-based ink accepting layer is prepared by dispersing at least one kind of powder selected from a group consisting of plant, protein, chitosan, collagen, water-absorbing resin and inorganic matter in a hydrophilic polymer solution. This material to be recorded is produced by forming a water-based ink accepting layer consisting of the hydrophilic polymer and the above powder on the surface of the base material. |
