PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste for printing hardly causing bleeding after dyeing compared to a conventional paste, having basic properties such as color development and levelness the same as or higher than these of the conventional paste, and capable of heightening the commercial value of a printed cloth. SOLUTION: This paste for the printing is characterized in that the paste contains a water-soluble nonionic cellulose ether and a water-soluble high- molecular compound.
