PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection and adjustment method of a radio wave type sensor without requiring equipment for actually moving an object. SOLUTION: This inspection method of the radio wave type sensor has a transmission circuit for transmitting a first radio wave, a reception circuit for receiving a second radio wave, and an output means for outputting a signal for showing frequency displacement or phase displacement between the first radio wave and the second radio wave. The method is characterized by transmitting a radio wave subjected to frequency sweep relative to the radio wave type sensor, allowing the reception circuit to receive the radio wave subjected to the frequency sweep as the second radio wave, and detecting an output signal of the output means, to thereby inspect the radio wave type sensor.
