PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunoassay method by which a verotoxin producing colibacillus can be discriminated, and in addition, type 1 and type 2 verotoxin can be detected easily, quickly, and simultaneously. SOLUTION: A labeled complex is prepared by immobilizing a VT1 first specific binding substance and VT2 first specific binding substance on the same carrier. In this immunoassay method, a complex composed of (a) the labeled complex prepared by immobilizing the VT1 and VT2 specific binding substances on the same carrier, (b) VT1 and VT2 in a sample to be inspected, and (c) a VT1 or VT2 specific binding, substance on a stationary phase is formed on the stationary phase of a test piece, having the stationary phase on which the VT1 and VT2 specific binding substances are immobilized at different positions at one end of a water-absorptive substrate and the complex is detected. A kit for immuno-chromatography is also provided.
