CATHODE RAY TUBE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A cathode ray tube and its manufacturing method are provided to seal a funnel with a panel without using a separate frit glass. CONSTITUTION: A cathode ray tube comprises a panel(10) and a funnel(20) for forming a vacuum tube, a mask support(30), a shadow mask, a magnetic field shield, and an electron gun. After arranging sealing element(70) at the interface between the panel(10) and the funnel(20), the vacuum tube formed by the panel(10) and the funnel(20) is disposed in an exhaustion furnace maintaining a temperature at 330°C ± 20°C and a vacuum pump is operated to keep an inner vacuum pressure of the vacuum tube at 10¬-5 to 10¬-6. Because of pressure difference between the outside and the inside of the vacuum tube, the panel(10) and the funnel(20) receive force directed to the inside of the vacuum tube.
